What type of climate change affects us in the United States?
Climate change happens all over the world, to every single person on the planet. The types of climate change that happens in an area though depends on factors such as what type of place you live in, what things occur where you live and so on. In the United States, since we have such different temperate zones. We can go from the big city to the suburbs within 20 miles, the suburbs to deep forest within 100 miles, even the deep forest to the Great Plains within 1,370 miles and back to the city in the last 1,00 or so miles. Living in the city (as known from visiting New York City and research), you are most likely to experience air pollution as your climate change. This air pollution can lead to sickness and more because of the amount of vehicles driving around which lets off this "dirty" air also known as the burning of the fossil fuels. This air pollution will also cause the area to warm, due to the fact that the CO2 being let off by the vehicles are trapping the heat in the atmosphere instead of it being let out, like it is supposed to. The emissions of the CO2 is one of the major problems of the United States, one of the reasons that the average temperature is increasing much more then it should be.
Now drive west approximately 3,000 miles. You've reached the West Coast, home to the two cities that are going to be most affected by climate change. These two cities so happen to be Los Angles and Seattle, two of the most popular cities in the United States. Climate change is turning beautiful cities like these into dark, dangerous, and stormy areas that are unappealing land to live on. Now go back east a little bit and you will reach the Great Plains, an area affected by drought and severe tornados. Since the topic of climate changed has been more reoccurring so have the tornados the amount of tornados that have occurred has been much higher and much more damaging. Also, in these areas they have been experiencing droughts as I mentioned. The droughts have caused people in this area to give up farming and herding of animals. This has decreased the food that we have, but increased the prices. As you can see, America is currently being faced with multiple climate based problems that have solutions, but only if we are willing enough to conduct those solutions.
